Hello, I don’t know where to start regarding your pictures of Crain House. I lived in the house from 1976 until 1984. My father died in 83. In one of the pictures that says “it almost looks like he has his hair combed back like Elvis”, that is how my father wore his hair. Thank you,Donna S
Face in your picture... Okay the one you made the outline of - the shadow with the hat, if you look at the first picture in that series of three pics, and look directly above the top of where the shadow ends, you will see the yellow/orange profile of a man looking at a 45 degree angle down and to the right. It almost looks like he's got his hair combed back like Elvis. Look closely - I’d say in the pic I’m looking at the entire head is about a quarter inch long. I mean it's just like POW once you see it, I mean that's all I can look at now. I got to say, y'all are much braver than I! By: moffwc0
You just brought back a lot of memories... actually I had Mrs. Stolls daughter or granddaughter as a teacher as a young kid. I am now 40..i spent the night in this house a long time ago, when Mrs. Stoll was still living there. I lived in the community of rippling ridge which was across from the house from 1969 until 1983..the history of the house does go back to the slave era, there was another 2 houses in the back of the main house, one was a smoke house and the other was the slave quarters. The graves in the yard of the house are supposed to be some of the slaves from what I was told...I actually walked the property last year and walked over to the remains of the foundation and it brought back so many memories, but now its just old and trashy, I could not even find the graves because of the tall overgrown grass and bushes, I will go back when it gets cold and all the grass is dead. I can honestly say I miss that great landmark and I never thought it would be tore down, please keep me informed on any other information...by the way but this may be ironic but now I live in Pasadena across from George fox middle school and this school is also haunted. I also have a grave yard in Baltimore to tell you about that my great grandfather was a care taker of, if you are interested....thanks Dirk M.
crain house - My grandfather was a painter and he once told me that he was painting a room upstairs in the house. He opened the window to let air in and went outside to take a break. When he looked up the window was shut and nobody was in there. He refused to go back there because he had heard it was haunted. I am sure this happened in the 1940's or 1950's. He didnt like to talk about it. Kim T
| OK, SO I ACCIDENLTY CAM ACROSS YOUR WEBSITE, AND I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID! I LOVE IT. BUT. I WAS LOOKING AT PICS 3,4, & 5 OF THE SHADOWED MAN, AND IF LOOK JUST BELOW HIS ARM YOU WILL SEE WHAT APPEARS TO BE ANOTHER FACE. IT ALMOST LOOKS LIKE THE THING IN THE SHADOWED MANS HAND IS CONNECTED TO THE OTHER MAN. IF YOULOOK JUST BELOW THE OTHER FACE YOU WILL SEE WHAT LOOKS LIKE HIS LEG. ALMOST AS IF THE SHADOWED MAN HAS HIS TIED UP AND IS HOLDING THE ROPE. ITS AMAZING, I HOPE YOU CAN SEE IT. BRANDY
