2 | Thank you GTChic for all these awesome pics. Blessed Be, Rane |
| Rane, We went up to Gettysburg this past Sat and managed to get some great new pictures. I will send them to you and welcome any opinions you have one them. We had several experiences which my, husband, 15 year old daughter and 14 year old niece were all witness to. I will also include some of the ones from our previous trip in January. The first experience that night was at Sach's Bridge where we heard a tapping sound inside the bridge. Most of the pictures I took with my digital camera were single orbs I have not had the film from my other camera developed yet so don't know what we will have there. The second experience was in the field on Crawford avenue up the road from Devil's Den on the right hand side where Smith's 2 guns are located, my daughter thought she saw someone standing at the top of the hill there so we got out and decided to investigate and take a few pictures we flashed the flashlight up the hill but saw no one. It was a chilly night but we were all dressed pretty warmly (I hold my breath while I take a picture so there is no mistaking exhaled breath for ecto, I also make sure anyone near me does the same) and yet we experienced several extremely cold spots where you felt cold to the bone and could not get warm. I felt very uncomfortable here and did not want my daughter or niece to go back to the car and leave me alone there. I asked them to wait while I took a few pictures and then we would leave. I was taking the pictures, all the sudden my daughter jumped and let out a little yelp. Her pager had gone off and startled her... the weird thing is her pager does not work outside of the state of Maryland where we live...when we looked to see what was on it we found this 000000000493--I don't know if this means anything or not but we thought it was pretty odd. We left there and decided to go up to Little Round Top before we went to Devil's Den. When we got to LRT the parking lot was deserted and no one was up there. I got out of the car and was waiting for everyone else to get out when I heard the sound of either a cannon or a very loud gun going off. I leaned down to ask the others if they had heard it (of course they did'nt :-(, I straightened up and all of the sudden something hard hit me between the shoulder blades. It hit me hard enough to hurt and I gasped. I told my husband and at that point he and the others were ready to get out of there- for some reason while it shook me up, I was not really as scared as I thought I would be and wanted to stay, I took my camera and started snapping pictures where I thought whatever hit me came from (I used both cameras). I had my husband lift up my shirts (I had on 2 and a fleece)and see if there was a mark, there was a red mark right between my shoulder blades (we took pictures of it but my husband was too close and they turned out washed out). I took my flashlight and started looking all around near where I had been standing to see if I could find whatever it was that hit me (I never did find it). While my husband, niece, and daughter, were up in the castle type monument on LRT my daughter heard someone say something to her as she was starting to come down the stairs from the top she turned around thinking that my niece was behind her and had said something to her, and realized she was still standing out on the deck talking to my husband (I was outside in front talking to a guy who is a re-enactor about his experiences on the battlefields.)needless to say this scared her and she beat a hasty retreat (lol). She and my niece also heard gunfire at Spangler's Spring that night (another lady that was there also said she heard it)I did not. We also thought we heard drumming up in the woods on Culps Hill. It was one of the most exciting nights I've ever had since we started going to the battlefields. I'm also wondering if the presence of my teenage daughter and niece may have been the catalyst for all the activity that night. I have heard that puberty or something may have something to do with it. Any thoughts on that ? Anyway I'll send the pics enjoy. Have a great evening. This first picture is the field on Crawford Avenue up the road from Devil's Den. Thanks, GTChic |
